As an educator, my professional roadmap has always instructed me to work from a place of high standards, high expectations, and excellence. The OMSE team is dedicated to the same standards for all UMD students. We know that our students can achieve at high academic levels. Therefore, we encourage students to raise the bar and set high expectations for themselves.

Each student that OMSE interacts with is scholarly, dean’s list material. We methodically and purposefully provide outreach, academic support, and a climate that encourages the self-empowerment of students. As a result, we reinforce the successful matriculation, retention, academic success, and graduation of students at the University of Maryland. As a team, OMSE is prepared to honor, serve, and provide resources to all students with high expectations, standards, and excellence.
