About Academy of Academic Excellence Awards
The Academy of Academic Excellence Awards provides an opportunity for the Office of Multi-ethnic Student Education (OMSE) to annually recognize undergraduate students and their achievements within the University of Maryland community. Students are recognized in two categories:
- Students with cumulative 3.5+ GPA
- Students with cumulative 4.0 GPA
OMSE Excellence in Service Awards
At the Academy of Academic Excellence Awards, OMSE also presents excellence in service awards to university faculty, staff, tutors and mentors who have made outstanding contributions to advancing the inclusive excellence of students on campus.
Excellence in service awards are based on nominations from the University community and are given in the categories of outstanding staff, outstanding faculty, outstanding mentor, outstanding tutor, and the Director’s award. The call for nominations will be released each spring in the weekly OMSE newsletter; to receive the newsletter, subscribe here.
